Mission Statement: The mission of the Religious Education Program is to provide a nurturing environment for all ages which fosters a living understanding of Unitarian Universalism. From childhood to youth and through adulthood, we encourage a feeling of self-worth, instill a sense of wonder and discovery and inspire participants to choose their own spiritual paths. The Religious Education Committee will offer rich and diverse educational and spiritual opportunities in tune with the Principles of Unitarian Universalism. To the end, the committee will actively encourage the support and ministry of the entire religious community. We hold before us the conviction that our children and youth are the future of Unitarian Universalism and of the world. The RE Program is developed and implemented by the RE Committee with the assistance and support of the teachers and the entire congregation. It is strongly committed to providing a program for our children that will enable them to develop respect and responsibility for themselves and their world. The program will as well provide a framework upon which the children will develop their own spiritual values. We also hope to engender a sense among the children that they are an integral part of the congregation as a whole. This is accomplished through classroom activities, participation in Sunday Services, social action and FUN! The RE Committee hopes to be of service to the children and their families. Please feel free to contact any of the committee members with questions, ideas or comments. Join us in making this year's Religious Education Program great. Over the course of each child's religious education experience
